BIOGRAPHY

Georg Keller was 1981 born in Zug/Switzerland. He lives and works with his family alternately in Zurich and Warsaw. Keller studied fine arts in Zurich and Warsaw and graduated in Zurich in 2008. This was followed by assistance as stage designer at the Schauspielhaus Zurich. Since then he has continuously developed an artistic language which oscillates between the visual and performing arts. He regularly participates in exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad, among others: Kunsthaus Zürich; Kunstmuseum Luzern; Kunsthaus Zug; Kunsthaus Langenthal; BAC Geneva; Helmhaus Zürich; CAN Neuenburg; Kunsthalle Zürich; Kunsthalle St.Gallen; Helmhaus Zürich; CAC Vilnius, Lithuania; Ygrec Paris; Museo Arteo Contemporaneo Bogota; 5th Moscow Biennale; Contemporary Art Center Zamek Ujazdowski, Warsaw; Rosa Brux Brussels and many more. 

At the same time, he has created works as a director, performer and stage designer, among others for the: Schauspielhaus Zurich; Theaterhaus Gessnerallee Zurich; Tanzhaus Wasserwerk Zurich; FabrikTheater Zurich and Teatrteatr Perm, Russia.  

He has received prizes and work scholarships from the City of Zurich, Canton Zurich, Canton Zug, the Swiss Federal Art Prize, the Kiefer-Hablitzel Prize, the Manor Art Prize Lucerne, the Prize of the Georg and Josi Guggenheim Foundation and the Prize of the ZF Art Foundation. 

Keller visited studio residencies in: Paris, Tokyo, Bogota, Friedrichshafen, Tel Aviv and Kilpisjärvi (Finland)

Furthermore, Georg Keller's work includes the production of various publications and monographs (image and text), as well as lectures and presentations at various cultural institutions and art academies in Switzerland and abroad.
