Grey Energy

Grey Energy is a sketch that attempts to take a simultaneous look at various perspectives on the relationship between energy and time. Six gypsum objects are grouped clockwise on a stepped pedestal. They are abstract renditions of energetic phases in the cycle of manufacturing a product. An actor is standing on a safe next to this installation. He introduces the energy-time-information triangle by reciting texts from Prof. Daniel Spreng’s Energiebilanzen von Energiesystemen. The energy-time-information triangle demonstrates that these three factors are mutually interchangeable. The actor also recites passages from John Maynard Keynes’ Economic Possibilities for Our Grandchildren.
